Who we are

ED Scale Systems ("we") is a trading name of Eren Demirdiş, based in Türkiye. Eren Demirdiş decides how the information you send us is used, which makes them its controller under data protection law: the data controller (veri sorumlusu) under Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK, No. 6698), and the controller under the GDPR for visitors in the UK and the European Union. What we collect

When you send the contact form, we receive:

  • your name and email address
  • your company or website, if you add it
  • the services you're interested in, your message and how you'd like us to reply
  • your phone number, if you ask us to reply by WhatsApp

If you email us or message us on WhatsApp, we receive what you send and your contact details. Like every website, our hosting provider also processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the site and keep it secure.

How we use it

We use your information only to reply to your enquiry, talk through what you need and, if you ask for one, prepare a proposal. We do this because you asked us to and because replying to enquiries is a legitimate interest of our business. We don't add you to a mailing list, and we never sell your information.

Who else handles it

We use a few trusted providers to run the site and our email:

  • Vercel, which hosts the website
  • Resend, which delivers contact form messages to our inbox
  • Google Workspace, which runs our email
  • WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to message us there

They only process your information to provide their service to us. Some of them, and we ourselves, may process it outside the UK and the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards the law provides, such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

If your enquiry doesn't lead to working together, we delete it within 12 months of our last contact. If you become a client, we keep what we need for the work and for as long as tax and accounting rules require.

Cookies

We don't use cookies for analytics or advertising, and we don't track you across other sites. If our hosting provider's security checks need to verify a visit, for example to block automated traffic, they may set a strictly necessary cookie for that purpose only.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, or stop or limit how we use it. Email contact@edscalesystems.com and we'll reply within one month. If you're not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or the data protection authority where you live. Your rights under KVKK are set out in the next section.

Information notice under KVKK

This section is our information notice (aydınlatma metni) under Article 10 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK).

  • Data controller: Eren Demirdiş, trading as ED Scale Systems, Türkiye. Contact: contact@edscalesystems.com.
  • Purposes: replying to your enquiry, understanding what you need, preparing a proposal if you ask for one, and keeping the website secure.
  • Legal grounds: taking the steps needed before a possible contract with you (Article 5(2)(c)), and our legitimate interest in replying to enquiries and protecting the website, provided it doesn't harm your fundamental rights and freedoms (Article 5(2)(f)). We don't rely on your consent, so we don't ask for it.
  • How we collect it: electronically, through the contact form, email and WhatsApp, and automatically through our hosting provider when you visit the site.
  • Who receives it: the service providers listed under "Who else handles it", only so they can provide their service to us. Their servers are partly outside Türkiye, including in the United States, so your data is transferred abroad under Article 9 of KVKK.

Under Article 11 of KVKK, you have the right to:

  • learn whether your personal data is processed, and request information about it if so
  • learn why it is processed and whether it is used for that purpose
  • know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom it is transferred
  • ask for it to be corrected if it is incomplete or wrong
  • ask for it to be deleted or destroyed under the conditions in Article 7
  • ask for a correction, deletion or destruction to be passed on to the third parties who received it
  • object to a result against you that comes only from automated analysis of your data
  • claim compensation if you suffer damage because your data was processed unlawfully

To use these rights, email contact@edscalesystems.com. We reply free of charge within 30 days at the latest. If you're not satisfied with our reply, you can complain to the Personal Data Protection Authority (kvkk.gov.tr).

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
